An Evening With Basil Abbott
The series of ‘Evenings With’ at The Bank, Eye, continues with the work of Basil Abbott.
Better known locally as a museum manager and reviewer, his scripts and acting will be featured.
In The History Girls, the inmates of Newgate Prison enact the 18th century for the visiting Elizabeth Fry.
The Staymaker is the story of Thomas Paine, the subject of an award-winning Diss Museum festival in 2009.
Basil Abbott will also give his one-man presentation of The Flush Hall Murder. His mother’s family were slightly involved in this 1915 case in Northern Ireland.
He first performed the show at The Lyric Theatre, Belfast, playing 17 parts.
See it, presented by EyesWrite, at The Bank, Eye, at 7.30pm on Saturday 5th December.
